AdBrite is one of my favorite ad networks. It makes the most money for me, although it is on less pages than my Google AdSense. Why?
Adbrite has a type of ad called an Intermission Ad. An intermission ad will pay $10.00 CPM, which is a lot. You can view the demo on their site, and while some people think it’s annoying, it is useful if you have a dedicated audience, or if you have high bandwidth pages. But, the regular Adbrite ads are a bit uglier than the other networks; you can see an example in the Krazy Letter Arcade, below the game. Refresh a few times, and you’ll see my intermission ad.
Also, they allow people to directly buy ads from your website, which would mean guaranteed revenue…for the time they purchase your ads.
Advantages: Intermission ads pay more, allow people to buy directly based on time, not clicks
Disadvantages: Ads are ugly, Intermission ads may be annoying
Overall, if you have a bandwidth intensive site, or if you have a dedicated audience, Adbrite may be a good choice. Also, Google will allow you to put Adbrite ads on the same page as Google ads, since Adbrite isn’t contextual.
I like Adbrite, I use Adbrite, but I wouldn’t suggest it if you get annoyed by the full page ads, or if they are ugly. That’s the main reason I still use Google for my forums, while Adbrite in the arcade.

UGH!! If you mean those huge ads I have to click through to get to a game… Those things are annoying as heck. Profitable, yes, but ANNOYING.
Those Intermission ads only appear once every 24 hours for each unique IP.
Nice, I’ll be sure to try this out if I ever make a big site. My tiny blog doesn’t get visitors, I don’t blame em, I hardly update the thing.
