So…I think that this proliferation of eBay ads are finally going overboard. Today, when looking at the ads: ->
I haven’t been keeping up with news lately, but isn’t this ad kind of illegal in the 50 states of the USA? In fact, I thought that human trafficking is illegal in most developed countries. Weird.
Anyways, I don’t remember too much about the AdWords sytem - I use Adsense, not Adwords. Do people still send affiliate traffic to eBay via Google Ads, or are they paid for by eBay themselves now? How does eBay choose the keywords? In essense, how did this happen? I know that this probably used keyword substitution; a human obviously didn’t proofread this ad.
Lastly - the Google Ads targeting system seems to be a big wacky on this blog - these aren’t very targeted ads for this blog.
Comments? I’d appreciate explanations about this ad.

Yes, I find it quite amusing that, based on the unsexy subject of this blog, it is attracting ads for cheap women. Or maybe a hidden porn site is concealed within google’s view of the site… Teen seems to be the word the ads are capturing.
Hi,
I think that ad is probably cause one of your categories is “teen webmaster”.
Therefore, all your posts in that category have “teen webmaster” right under the title.
I know it doesn’t make sense, but thats google.
As far as who is paying for the ads, eBay doesn’t allow its affiliates to send traffic directly to eBay anymore (have to send them through a landing page), so I guess eBay is the one paying.
Probably selected the keywords automatically based on alot of people searching for “teen clothes” or something on their site.
Yeah? I’m just wondering why the Adsense system picked “Young Teen” for eBay’s keyword. How does eBay include/exclude keywords? I know that I don’t see eBay ads for “Papercut songs” (just made up a search) when I search on Google.
So basically: What helps eBay decide between “Young Teen”, “Teen Business”, “Business Supplies”, or “Papercut Songs”? It doesn’t advertise on all keywords - just some.
I came here for young teens and I must say I’m very disappointed!
lol yeah those ads are something else.
