The gods must be krazy!

Google’s SERPs have updated recently, negitavely affecting my main site, Krazy Letter, in one of its most competitive keywords.
Traffic has halved, and earnings have gone to 1/5 of the original daily earnings. This is not very good, as Krazy Letter is my main cash chow.
What does this mean? Reliance on Google for traffic is *stupid*. [...]

$0.73 click!

I have to give it to Sentient Youth Forums - the topics on the site are generating high-paying adverts! Thank you myncknm, Purrflicta, and djbob for helping contribute so much on the site.
In contrast, I am happy about this because Krazy Letter Forums hasn’t been doing well in Google Adsense recently. I’ve been getting a [...]

Saint Patricks Day Ads!

Saint Patricks day ads have arrived! You can see them on Krazy Letter!
For Google’s explanation about the ads, see their help topic. They are limited to only some countries.
There were also Halloween, Christmas, and Chinese New Year Google Ads, so this is not the first time Google has done something like this.

Adbrite

AdBrite is one of my favorite ad networks. It makes the most money for me, although it is on less pages than my Google AdSense. Why?
Adbrite has a type of ad called an Intermission Ad. An intermission ad will pay $10.00 CPM, which is a lot. You can view the demo on their site, and [...]

Chitika Ads

Chitika is another ad network, and is growing in popularity because of the relatively good payouts, it’s also a Pay-Per-Click ad network. It has a innovative design for the ad, a bit more distracting, but innovative. You can take a look on the homepage of their website.
Advantages: Higher payout, although decreasing right now, and it’s [...]

Yahoo Publisher Network

Yahoo Publisher Network is currently invite only. However, it’s fairly easy to get an invite after signing up, although you might have to wait for up to a month. Recent reports from people at Digitalpoint say that it pays more than Google AdSense per click, but gets less clicks because it is less relevant.
In my [...]

Google AdSense

Google Adsense has many advantages, and is probably the most popular and widely used ad networks.
Google AdSense has many advertisers, so it has a higher payout, and has more relevant ads than some smaller ad networks. It’s non-intrusive.
Advantages: Makes a fair amount of money, many different ad formats, very customizable.
Disadvantages: TOS is a bit restrictive, [...]

Google Adsense, Adbrite, Yahoo, Chitika

After running Krazy Letter for a while, I’ve realised one thing: there needs to be money to run a website. Sure, you could go with a free host, and use free software all the way, but if you are committed about a site, you’ll have to pay for hosting. Free hosting sucks, and is not [...]
